I have a company and us paypal but when I saw the 175 until the end of next year I jumped on it Pros 175 per transaction Cons 1 2 week delay for swip and 4 yes 4 week delay for manually entering it NOTE ive been with Amazon since it started and have sold items on amazon before 2 only works on mobile devices NO way at ALL to us with computer or laptop 3 App restarts and is very buggy 4 cant swip most cards and so have to enter manually so then there is 4 week delay 5 the setup and use of the app is so bad Thats enough for now Stick with paypal or try square the extra 1 is NOT worth the trouble and headache     Stick with paypal
App randomly signs off after a card swipe requiring you to enter your Amazon account password The transaction never goes through I do not wish to share my Amazon account password with my employees           Flawed

We switched from Square because it was so much less expensive but Square is so much better we may switch back Local Register frequently returns blank pages instead of results It crashes frequently The app only works as it should about 20 of the time and even if it worked as it should 100 of the time the reports are in adequate and have to be emailed to be accessed They are not accessible from the app Also Local Register is not accessible from a PC as Square is its only accessible from the app This app has potential but needs a lot of work        Hard to pass up the savings but performs poorly
I have used virtually all the other CC services and they all promise to be the least expensive and deposit funds to your account the fastest But none compare to Amazon Period The app is so very simple to use and program and ANY sale made prior to 5pm the funds WILL be in your account the next day if after 5pm it will be the second business morning except for your very first sale which will take up to three days for verification of account None of the others have even come close to being that fast                 Credit card processing quick and simple
The app interface is junk and very buggy Offers no real or valuable information for the vendor Not able to access any information on an actual computer which makes it extremely difficult to print and run simple reports Every Time I click on a different function on the app I am forced to sign in to app again with my username and password The low charge rate is nice but there are too many negatives aspects of this app to make it worth it Do not recommend     Terrible product and app
We were disappointed at the beginning when we found out our payments were on hold for 14 days Also the app only works on iPhones and samsumg galaxy phones which sucked We stuck with it as the rate is very good I am glad to report that after 4 weeks of being with them now there is NO hold on our transactions including the manually entered ones The money is available immediately I highly recommend this app                 Work in progress but very happy
Intro rate not worth the failures Payments held in reserve for long periods for no legitimate reason Repeated processing problems Numerous cards rejected for being outside the US when in fact they are US based cards and cardholders Customers get very nervous about fraud when you swipe the card repeatedly due to Amazon failures Cards that failed on Amazon system immediately processed by Square Also get this Square actually gives you your funds instead of holding them under bogus pretenses Thank you Square for a good business model well executed and with fair fund practices     Back to Square

Next day deposit my butt It takes a few days from what I can see on my end Someone from the development team needs a paypal account to see what they offer their customer for 1 more processing fees The app has no way of showing me details of each transaction with fees subtracted from Amazon The transactions cannot be viewed on a normal PC Cannot print transaction without a special printer Why cant I view transaction online via PC and then print on my own PC Just a thought Not clearly on a few policies that slipped in there Very fishy     Horrible product full of lies
Those crocks will hold your money for no reason and I think they hold people money to gain interest and have capital money that they can do business with for couple days I tried square and its really good never had a single issue Going back to square     They will hold your money for no reason

I wanted to use this app for my food trucks instead of square because of the lower transaction rate but this app will it work Setup took me about 2 weeks to finally get setup and link my bank account I was never able to use this app for my food trucks I could only use it to accept credit card payments for catering invoices After using the app for about 2 months Amazon has suspended our account 3 times without notice and does not allow us to access funds or make charges I have tried calling the customer support number a few times only to find that all they really do is email their support team who is restricted to email Basically you can call them so they can send an email to the real customer support What a joke Ive tried all the different credit card apps Square Intuit PayPal Spark Pay Bottom line this one is the worst and is not functional for small businesses go somewhere else     Dont waste your time this app doesnt work

SEPT 2 2015 Update Ah So much for lets try and see if it works better now All of the errors listed below are present after reinstalling the app Back to square we go AUG 4 2015 I have an iPhone 5s running iOS 84 current as of this review After installing the app I signed in but when I try to view the items in our store I get a persistent error message There was a problem loading your items Please try again And retry does not work A variant on this error appears on most every screen Reports There was a problem loading all report information Please try again Transactions We encountered a problem Please try again The app also does not detect that the card reader is plugged in I verified that the app has access to the microphone in settings I can use a card reader with Square and it functions as expected I have tried two different Amazon Register readers and neither detect I tried the reader with my case on Otter Box Commuter Series can be on while using the Square reader and I also removed my case and tried with the phone only to make sure the reader was fully connected Still no luck These issues persisted aster logging out and logging back in after restarting the app after uninstalling and reinstalling and after uninstalling restarting the phone with all apps closed reinstalling the app restarting the phone and still nothing The keyboard entry is functional but cumbersome We are trying to use Amazon because of the better rates but the app and the device are not functional and not easily navigable compared to Square or even PayPal So far no good     Buggy
Although I used this appservice for 3 weeks they decided that direct sales consultants couldnt use their service Its still a business its definitely local Fine they can do whatever they want BUT they shut down my account I still had money that was suppose to be sent to me I call and email and the email was just a generic answer back I finally get ahold of someone after 45 min on hold and was told that it will take 14 days to give me my money What a joke this service is You should have waited until you knew what you were doing before launching this service I would give it NO stars if I could     Rude

I wish I could leave zero stars Again amazon didnt think things through To use this app you need to create a separate account from your amazon account which means a second email and password Why Also they require you to upload a bank statement Square doesnt require that and is much easier to set up The new account you have to create is amazon payments and the app is amazon local register which adds to the confusion If I login into the amazon payments website I cant do anything from there like issue refunds even though the help section says to go to the website to issue a refund Also you need to login in as a customer to the website not a merchant even though both options are there Anyone doing business will log in as a merchant This whole system is a mess and amazon needs to start taking serious time to think out their products before offering them to the public I just wasted two hours of my time on the phone and setting up this app and I cant run any credit cards because they want me to upload a bank statement which is unnecessary and not required by other payment companies Sorry amazon this one is a failure     Failure

The bank verification is just terrible I have been trying to get approved to use my bank account with this app for a month I still cannot get it to work The amazon support staff have been less then helpful or knowledgeable sending me on a wild goose for bank statements that I did not even need If its this hard to get a bank account attached to the account I can only imaging how much headache it would be if I have another problem in the future Ill be choosing another company to do business with     Just terrible
The service is ok and the reporting is terrible Cant really see anything that you did as far as reports If you receive a dispute or chargeback from a customer dont expect to get any help from Amazon They do nothing except give you the runaround and tell you they cannot help you     Unhappy

I use amazon for many biz and personal purchases but began using local register when I saw 175 offer on credit card swipes Setup is easy and reimbursement for card readers makes this basically a norisk opportunity I have been switching between card swipe companies for the past few years to keep rates as low as possible Amazon local register has beaten my best rates by 02                 Better rates and easy to use
Switched from Square to this just a week or so before a major event where we process 5 figures of credit card transactions in 3 days I was attracted by the lower fee The App itself worked pretty well during use with the exception of the email receipts Square prepopulates the email or text which this doesnt even offerin the field for a repeat customer who you have sent an email receipt to in the past Amazons App does not Repeat customers required entire reentry of email addresses which is a major slowdown in a fast paced many quick orders environment such as mine If the Fee discount wasnt there THAT alone would be a deal killer for me The other problem concerns the backend website supportdetails about your account Quirky or error code reports no clear display of pending bank deposits can be found by digging and confusing integration with Amazon PaymentsAmazon Merchant website much of which doesnt apply to a customer llike me who simply uses this and no other Amazon Paymentsmerchant setups Needs some work           Overall OK but needs some work

I would like to give this app service minus 10 stars however since I cant 1 star will have to do This is the MOST COMPLICATED UNSYSTEMATIC BACK OF THE WOODS UNUSER FRIENDLY system ever From having to purchase the device although they will give the money back to you in credits once you use it to the verification of your banking account to the inability to speak with an actual Local Register Account Manager this system is completely flawed difficult to use We left the Square for reasons I care not to mention however once the promotional discounted rate has passed we will be returning to the Square reader Im horrified that Amazon hasnt done a better job of making this system user friendly Tsk tsk tsk Amazon for this Godawful application It took me 6 weeks to get completely up running with this system Not to mention of the 2 devices ordered only 1 works Im fearful of ordering another for having to pay for it     Amazon has missed the mark
Amazon does not care about your business This app is great if you enjoy NOT getting paid for the goods you sell The recent versions of the app will frequently give you an error even after the customer has signed Unless you babysit it every step of the way its possible for a charge to get rejected and you may not find out until hours later when the customer has already left As a veteran of traditional charge processing our business used this app for months with no issues and in 3 weeks following the new version this problem cost us 600 in unpaid purchases Called Amazon and they blamed me for simply updating not uninstalling and reinstalling for every new version They also blamed our network for causing the issues which was completely false They clearly didnt care about our business There is no offline mode to prevent network issues Square has had it for years Amazon support refused to cover the charges or recover the lost information We started using Amazon because of their reader design but the software suffers from shoddy design and lack of basic features Its printer integration causes interference with shared printers Do yourself a favor and go with a tried and true charge processing app     Awful Get Square
I have been using Square for my credit card processing but the promise of a lower fee brought me to Amazon Payments I made a charge 3 days ago and looked daily to see if my funds were available I finally called customer service today After 3 failed attempts at getting through I asked why my funds were not available yet She said that as a new customer my funds were being held for 14 days I asked if that was somewhere in the fine print and she said it is in the user agreement and in the help I looked and it is not in the help As a business owner 14 days is a long time to not have access to my money I read on the website that a bank transfer can take 57 BUSINESS days So that could be more than 3 weeks until I can actually use the money Bottom line for mewill take my money after 21 days close my Amazon Payments account and go back to Square     Have to wait 14 days for your moneygoing back to square

I ordered the card reader downloaded the app last night This morning I got an email saying that Amazon is unable to verify some of my information and that I need to log in to the app to confirm it Unfortunately the app will not let me log in I enter my info and then it just never gets anywhere Im hoping Amazon can fix this VERY soon or I will have wasted 10 plus tax ordering the card reader ETA Finally got it set up So far so good Only taken a couple of payments so far but they went through easily and the money was available quickly to transfer to my bank account As promised there was no transaction fee because I havent sold enough to offset the 10 I paid for the reader           Inauspicious start
