I finally dont need to buy a Wacom                 This is amazing
I got this one last time for free Now it turned to 20 bucks So lucky                 Cool
Super fast and responsive Latest update was a HUGE improvement for using with my jot touch pixel point Crazygreat Recommended                 Amazing for artists designers
I got this app to work in Lightroom There is too much pixelation for me to work effectively I bought an expensive stylus recommended by the developers and it still pixelates Awesome idea poor performance        Pixelated
The app is fairly intuitive to use and loaded and synced my iPad to my MacBook Pro quickly and flawlessly As a photographer who has never used a tablet for post processing Astropad provided me a low cost entry to graphics tablets I still need to buy a advanced stylus to truly get all the benefits but my initial use has been very rewarding As a LR and PS user I do hope they add customization for multiple software packages              Initial Impression Very Good
This actually works really really well I will be using this every day                 Whoa
Wow I am just ridiculously impressed by Astropad I was a little skeptical initially but after seeing the reviews thought Id take a chance Ive owned a couple of Wacom tablets over the years but never could get used to the schism between separate drawingviewing surfaces More recently I started using a Cintiq Companion While it resolved the blind drawing problem I found that I was disappointed in the slippery feel of the stylus on the surface A coworker mentioned that there were other alternate nibs that could help increase the stylussurface friction to feel more similar to penpaper After a couple of different attempts however I gave up I dont mean to sound too hard on the Cintiq I have a couple of colleagues who use and love them And no doubt the input resolution is better with the Cintiq than youll get from an iPad That said however the comfort I already have using an iPad and the feel of drawing on it with my favorite iPad stylus Pencil by 53 gives Astropad IPadMac combination a big edge for me In addition to actually using the Astropad the setup process is a model of simplicity that other app developers should follow My kudos and gratitude to Astro HQ for a such great product                 Completely blown away
This app works better than some graphics tablets Ive used Its awesome And the support they provide is amazing Theyll answer any questions you have and even offer help Well worth the money spent                 Do yourself a favour buy it
I havent touched my Wacom Intuos since I got Astropad It works great with Sketchbook pro                 Game changer
Im impressed with astropad right out of the gate and am looking forward to the improvements that they are intent on making already got updates for additional stylus support and bugfixes We need to see more apps like this utilizing ipadios technology for more than tagging photos and angry birds                 Impressed
At last a really useful app to integrate iPad as a tool for the Mac                 Finally
This application works as advertised and beyond when adding to my workflow Combined with a pressure sensitive pen I was using the app almost immediately Being able to use my iPad to manage and edit my photos is exactly what I wanted                 Great addition to my work flow
I am very impressed with the work these guys have put into this app I am a traditional inker for comics and have been looking for a way to work my way into digital inking for some aspects of my work But buying a Cintiq was not an option due to my financial restraints This app came around at the perfect time I already have a 50000 ipad so I was just waiting on the technology Well folks I think the game is changing They have created a very intuitive program that will make your work easier at a very reasonable price Get into this program and allow it to expand as you learn the many uses of it and youll see for yourself why this will be a prized possession of a great many artists Thank you for creating this great program                 This is a game changer
Such an awesome and handy app It works perfectly And by the way the creators are awesome as well Amazing job guys                 Awesome
I love this app so much Now I can use all of my Mac softwares on my iPad Astropad is fast and stable                 Your iPad becomes a Cintiq
I like it a lot              Cool app
I have been searching for an app that does exactly what this does for a few years now It has been definitely worth the wait Ive always wanted a Wacom but its never been in my budget and Wacomlike tablet monitors have been a disappointment This is perfect and works fantastically well with my iPad 4 and the Wacom Creative Stylus 2 They seem to be continuously working on it to improve compatibility and functionality Couldnt be happier                 Been waiting for an app like this
I love what Astropad wants to be the best drawing tablet software out there And Im hopeful that it will get there one day I dont think its quite there yet But I dont think anyone else is either Cintiq technology the most notable competitor doesnt seem to be improving nearly as fast as Apples in terms of both hardware and software iPad screens are far brighter have better color and have less space between the glass and drawing surface compared to a Cintiq So Apple already has the best surface for drawing digitally in my opinion When the Apple Pencil comes out Im confident that it will at least be as good as a Wacom Cintiq stylus which I have no qualms with iOS presently lacks the software for me to do all of my work on it but thats where Astropad comes in The only missing piece is reducing latency both when scrolling and drawing Im no hardware expert but perhaps a future version of Lightning bolt will help in this area Anyway if youre curious about Astropad definitely try it out Once some of the issues above are resolved I think its going to change the way digital artists work for the better                 Works great Hopeful to one day ditch my Cintiq
I want to like it but it doesnt support my stylus the Pogo Connect version 1 or 2 so instead its like all other apps like this Nothing special until I get some stylus support to make it stand out        Lack of stylus support
That one word says it all Creating the bounding box is a bit cumbersome but the actual functionality is second to none out of the others Ive tried                 Wow
Im toning my review down so it doesnt look like Im astroturfing npi This is an awesome app that really does every single thing they claim Using it to draw is smooth natural enjoyable AP meets all my needs Devs are very active on the boards on their site Responding to and asking questions about feature requests and how people are using the app                 Fantastic app
Once I found the right stylus it works as described Thanks for promoting this for photographers too                 Works as described
Astropad is one of the most used and appreciated apps on my iPad It has done more to help my career as a designer and illustrator than any other program besides Illustrator and Photoshop Plus the developers are cool as hell which is a huge plus                 This is why I bought an iPad
I think the marketing for this app is grossly misleading The connection is super laggy super slow and just quite frankly doesnt work as advertised There is no way I can use this to do any artwork or design The image is pixelated about half the time Complete waste of 3000 I think I need a refund on this     False advertising
Maybe its just my set up but Ive been getting WAY more lag than advertised I had high hopes for this app but honestly youre probably better off with a good stylus drawing app     Really laggy
This is my dream app since it basically makes my iPad into the best creative suite tool ever So glad I can use my pressure sensitive wacom iPad stylus too Thumbs up                 Incredible tool for artists and designers
I have used Wacom tablets and when I needed to replace an old one I thought of this app I tried it with one of their recommended basic styli and it was useless Perhaps it would be better if you spent 100 on a higher end stylus but I think Ill just get a new Wacom At least I know it will work        Not much use
I have 60 rough illustrations for a book and wanted to retain the freshness of the thick and thine lines which also had a slight wobble I only had a Mac and mouse I bought the Astropad and a pressuresensitive stylus paired them with my Mac and mouse with full access to Photoshop and am delighted with the result Author of iBook A Leap into eSpaceDigital Art on the iPad                 Saved hours of time and frustration
Was just about to buy a cintiq when I came across this app It is pretty awesome and saved me a lot of                 Amazing
I cant tell you how many times I thought to myself that Id love to be able to interact with a fullfledged version of Photoshop or Illustrator using the wonderful touch screen and WYSIWYG feel of an iPad Now I can So many tasks which are a breeze with a stylus and being able to draw on the actual canvas can now be realized without having to splurge on some crazy Wacom tablet Its also great for quickly sketching notes on top of images or all that tedious lassotracing work Love love love this app                 A new way to use my iPad
Amazing fast                 Greate app
Drawing on the iPad is a no brainer but the apps available run a little short of the power the computer versions have I tried a different app that was supposed to work with my pressure sensitive bluetooth stylus but the response with the computer was impossibly slow To be fair There was probably something in my rather normal set up that was getting in the way but to be fair to me I shouldnt have to spend hours trying to troubleshoot This app not only worked from the first moment but I could detect no more lag than my direct connected Wacom Tablet Pen positioning was excellent the computer interface was great you could actually navigate and open files and run other programs from the iPad as though you were using a mouse or trackpad Anything you do on the iPad is mimicked on the Mac If there is a difficulty it is with the much reduced size of the Mac screen if you chose to view it all Drawing programs with lots of pallets are difficult to access You can of course zoom in on anything but having to switch back and forth between the drawing mode and the adjust your screen and how much you want to see mode takes too much time Fortunately they have a presets panel that you can customize for your program so you dont have to switch very often The best use I think is to do the drawing on the iPad and use the Main Computer screen for doing the pallets since they are full size and your mouse still works just like normal Most programs let you position the most used or custom pallets where you want them so none of this causes much trouble It is vastly better than the app I used before which was bizarre in the extreme in its interactions with the Mac hanging up and forcing restarts The Mac side of the app is more expensive than people are used to paying for apps on the iPad but they reduced the price by a lot and I think now it is a real bargain for something that works so well                 Excellent response
This app has made my photo retouching workflow a breeze Great job guys                 Wow
I run a visual lighting company and the problem Ive had is adjusting my mapped surfaces once the crowd of guests arrive at the venue I am doing visuals for Having to go back and forth to my computer was inconvenient as well as looking very unprofessional Using a Remote Desktop program was another option but those produce too much lag to be useful at all Dragging my laptop out with an HDMI cord possibly tripping someone or even worse cracking my entire system was the only other option With Astropad I can set up my own mirroring system and I get to control everything with out a speck of lag                 Resolute and Astro
Fantastic app I sold my two other tablets because of how easy and mobile this is If you are comfortable drawing on a glass surface then it wont take you too long to fall in love with this app If you are used to a Wacom Cintiq matte quality screen surface this may be a downgrade for your work flow Glass can be tough to draw on The new Jot Touch is the best stylus to use currently Very excited to try the ApplePencil and ipadPro with this app Could be a game changer                 Replace all your tablets
The required companion Mac app costs 4999 Kinda sleazy to not state that up front     One little thing not mentioned
But works PHENOMENALLY on my iPad Air using a Jot Dash Although its not bluetooth connected the two are getting along fine For rhose who may be wondering the app essentially mirrors your Macs desktop and allows you to use the iOS device as the interface Graphic design photo editing etc all perform well Using Affinty Photo mostly another dope Mac app and its working out great This app is going to be really fresh on the iPad Pro                 May seem pricey
Awesome app at a great price and excellent customer service This app was my primary reason for buying an iPad Better solution than buying a dedicated graphics tablet Thanks                 Awesome App at a great price
I have some lag on my ipad 3 but this is great app Im thinking of buying a new ipad                 super
I was going to buy a cintiq 22HD until I found this I may end up selling my cintiq companion 2 I can wirelessly paint in Photoshop or painter from my couch The ability to zoom and pan the desktop makes this more natural to use than the cintiq companion which has micro fonts Cant say enough good things about this                 Amazing
I recently spoke to Giovanni Donelli via email regarding my interest in the Astropad softwareapp He was very understanding and compassionate about providing a product to me that helped inspire creativity I am currently working a fulltime job in Law Enforcement 15yrs but also run my own business Hobson Designs specializing in graphics logo design and rendering My clients are primarily for my agency and those who work for the city When I came across the softwareapp Astropad I was very eager to use it It always seemed silly to have expensive programs on your computer and an iPad perfectly capable of using drawing programs with a stylus The big hurdle was they did not work together The stylus pens out there are getting better and better yet the computer programs always wanted you to use expensive stand alone graphic tablets Astropad has now allowed small business owners like myself to bridge those gaps and use my iPad to sketch and design that is directly connected or connected through Bluetooth to my computer The hassle of buying the separate tablet is no longer an issue Overall the Astropad company and staff have been exceptionally helpful and have provided my with outstanding customer service If you are in the same shoes as I and need a inexpensive program that delivers maximum results then you have found it with the Astropad software Sincerely Jeff Hobson Hobson Designs              Outstanding Product
Finally a remote tablet App that works and executed to perfection Both my pens Wacom and Pencil supported and connect flawlessly Drawing action whether painting in Photoshop or Sketchbook Pro even sculpting in Modo is buttery smooth This App is my new go to tool for sketching when I cant be sitting at my Cintiq Just awesome                 Glorious
An iPad is just too small to use this tool effectively for image editing Too much zooming in and out moving around trying to access to controls Also very limited built in controls for PhotoshopLightroom Save your money        No Good for PhotoshopLightroom
Although there have some detail need to work on and finish but compare with other app with similar function astropad is the best one in both function and user experience without any doubt Love the idea keep working It worth a 5 star                 great using experience wonderful tool
Ive found Astropad much easier to use than my Wacom tablet Highly recommended                 Love it
Ive been using various Wacom tablets pretty much since they came out and getting less enthused each time I had to replace one Then I came across Astropad I already had an iPad so even though I had to buy a stylus it was way cheaper than another Wacom and its one less thing I need to carry around when I travel as I already take the iPad and my laptop At first I was a bit frustrated while scrolling around my 23 monitor at home but after a couple of hours it just seems natural now More plusses are no USB cables a good stable Bluetooth connection and very low latency                 Worth the money worth your time
Ok if you are look for a Wacom tablet with your iPad it is not going to happen 1 it is not a Wacom tablet 2 it is a iPad Ok how this app works 1 connected really easy and easy to change anything 2 it is better connected by USB it runs faster 3 it is a little slow but to it is putting to Mac desktop on your tablet so not to bad 4 it is still new I thing it will get better 5 you have to use you Mac a long said with the iPad you cant do everything on it so keep that in mind 6 it is nice to use photoshop I love how you can draw in it 7 remember if you dont draw vary well it is not going to make you draw better 8 if you can draw it is going to take practice to make it look good So yes this is everything it say Remember your using iPad not a 1000 dollar Wacom tablety                 This NOT a Wacom tablet you idjits
I wont lie I was skeptical about it but after reading the reviews I gave it a shot before getting a Cintiq WOW This app totally saved my money and made my iPad Air 2 more useful other than streaming games Now I can get my game designs for shirts done with the items I have already than spend a few grand for the same results Thanks Astro Team                 Worth your investment
Its really pixelated when you draw anything Its kind of disappointing even though its explained on the website but not presented in the demo videos        Kind of bummed
Heres my story Im a concert photographer and needed a graphics tablet Instead of buying a real one like the Wacom Clintiq I figured I would give this a shot I emailed with their support to see about a free trial since I use aperture and wanted to make sure it worked properly with that application They said they didnt have a free trial available however they ensured me that it would work fine with Aperture and I could always request a refund Come to find out once I tried it and figured out that it did not work with aperture as promised I actually was not able to request a refund from Apple 20 wasted I reached out to Astropad CS with no return email I guess they care more about making money than satisfied customers     Warning What apps will you use this for
