The Chess Tactics is now available as a free download on Apple Store for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 1.4 MB to download. The new Chess Tactics app version 1.1 has been updated on 2014-11-19. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Here is the app`s compatibility information: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad.Requires iOS 4.3 or later.

I like this app often play it as the last thing I do before going to sleep I ve played this app regularly for several years Overall I like it but there are several things really holding it back 1 Tactic ratings are highly inflated I m rated 2000 in the app but only around 1350 in real life 2 En passant captures are too easy to overlook when they are the first move of a tactic as in it is not obvious enough on the board that en passant is even an option It s frustrating to lose points on a puzzle over something dumb like that 3 Castling somehow is not an option at all 4 Lack of admin power and oversight There are several regular players who spam the comment boxes of tactics with extreme vulgarity hatred racism and somehow they are not banned These comments will eventually get deleted by admin but those players of course should be removed completely Recently Small Fish chess engine was integrated into the app so that you may see computer suggested moves after you have made your own attempt at the tactic This was a great addition really helps you explore alternative lines             Fun very useful but primitive Eeeegs

This is a great daily tool for exercising your chess brain I love that anyone can create and post a tactic and that the community policies the accuracy of the tactics I d give it a 5 star except for a glitch on the IPhone version which causes the app to reset sometimes when you switch to another app So if I m working on a puzzle and take a call or check my email the tactics app will sometimes clear the puzzle and take me back to its home screen Very annoying if I ve been working on a puzzle for a while and am getting close to a solution App could be improved if every tactic were numbered and the the navigation allowed you to jump to a number That would also solve the aforementioned glitch by letting one get back to the puzzle they were working on Having said all of that this is a great app and a really fun learning too I use it daily                 Love this app Wyoskies

I graciously gave five stars Do they deserve it Not really The reason is I love to do tactics The app could use a lot of improvements They know it but their to lazy They could make this the best So many talented people so much life wasted It s a shame                     Thinkahead DO THE MATH BOB

This is a great app for learning chess tactics and it s fun to watch your rating go higher as you get better I only wish that there was an analysis mode that would use a machine to make the opponent respond with best moves for alternate lines ideas That would alleviate a lot of discussion in the comments section where players don t understand why their move wasn t the best possible choice                 SWEET Dj Gonzo Keys
