With the version 19 update the app crashes on launch making it useless Its not even good for a paperweight     Major bug fix needed

Love the new interface and features A few suggestions add a scrolling feature I liked the share feature from previous version and paragraphs need to be separated better Godbless              Great app

This looks like it might develop into a great appbut not yet Search function does not work It also took four days for me to download the database Uninstalling the app and going back to the earlier version     New EGW App

I just downloaded this new version EGW2 and started to download the pioneer library and the app kept shutting down on me Frustrating I dont trust this version yet        Problems downloading

App keeps crashing after several minutes and this makes the app pretty useless to me Please fix           App keeps crashing

Pros Looks professional simple to use and I especially like having the ability to download and listen to the audio Conssuggestions I dont care for the musical piece at the beginnings of the audio i would rather there be no music I would like the app to show which chapters you previously listened to in a separate color or highlight              Nice Lookin App

Kudos to the EG White Estate for a job well done The transfer of the Study Center data from the previous version was quick and error free I appreciate the new clean look with the white background The new settings are great Love the iCloud sync                 Excellent Upgrade

Please fix     EGW2 constantly crashing

Cant pick up where you left off reading Each time you open the app you have to navigate back to where you were reading Lots of typos Consistently at least one error per page Good ideas but needs a lot more debugging     Needs more work

Please fix None of my notes or highlights from the old version synced over even though I did the sync for them As well now nothing loads I get error 401 unauthorized access Please fix this stuff     Wont sync or open

Im looking forward to this apps further development and tweaking Presently paragraphs are not indented Highlighting is easier I think saving to the cloud will prove to be a real plus There is work to be done but I am thankful for those who are committed to doing it        Promising

I fortunately kept the old app and havent deleted it yet This one is far from being completed and smoothed out from what I can tell I have had it for over a week still havent been able to download the majority of the library even on high speed wifi I dont like that scrolling through the library you dont have an alphabetized index on the side to scroll through and skip ahead Generally this app is not very intuitive its very buggy and has several downfalls compared to the other one which has been honed to the point that it operates pretty much flawlessly Im going to delete it and maybe re download in a few months Hopefully it will improve        Not quite the improvement I expected

Has some valuable new features but the download process for the library not the app but the books to put in it which are now separate keeps stalling I have had no trouble downloading other even larger than the EGW library combined so its not my connection but an app issue Scrolling is not working just page turns I havent found significant advantages to the new interface its been made more visual but at the present time that seems at the expense of function The audio function and ability to select what resources are downloaded while allowing whole library searches online are valuable tools but the other problems have kept me from testing them        Good idea but not working well yet

I like the feature of downloading single books Burns dont like the scrolling or lack thereof           Its okish

I cant get the app to run for more than a few minutes The features look great but the program is so unstable I cant do much exploring     Has potential but too unstable to use

I really like some things about the new app Its great to be able to download only the books you need to save space on the device and the ability to save highlights and notes in the cloud But please bring back scrolling I dont like turning pages on my app when I read Please bring back scrolling           Bring back scrolling

I had to delete and reinstall app to get it working Small bugs now but the developer seems to be working them out No show stoppers for me anymore Previous version What an incredible resource I mean really I had used the Windows EGW app because of its superior lay out and functionality but this version is as good if not better I dont know how many times it can be said download read and study Your life will never be the same again The Health message vastly improved my health and then my familys which lead me to her other writings which blew me away with it accuracy A clear reflection of today local and geopolitical happenings and it was written 150 years ago Helps to prepare us for tomorrow All the writings in one portable place No excuse for ignorance now                 Wow wow wow

Somewhat easier to navigate than the previous version but removing the newly introduced category thumbnails altogether would be a bigger improvement still              Eschew Needless Thumbnails

Not all of the audio files are there for some of the books For example the Great Controversy doesnt have the audio file for chapter 2     Audio files

Glad I still have the old version but this most recent update to EGW2 does not work It takes forever on the opening page with the logo then just closes itself Occasionally it will bring up the menu page but then nothing works on it Its lovely when it works but I will delete this and then redownload when the new New NEW update comes        The new version is broken

This apps layout for user experience is good but needs lots of work every time I open this app on my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 5 it crashes     Needs improvement

I will be deleting this app and staying with the old one I did the update and the so called transfer of my highlights and instead of transferring them it deleted them and just transferred the titles of the folders I tried to email support several times but got no response to the issue Very disappointed with this app and this team Now I lost over a years work of study notes and highlights that I used to preach the gospel Way to go     Horrible App

I really like this app but I was listening to the The Great Controversy 1911 and found out that the audio in chapter 2 Persecution in the First Century stops after the second paragraph on page 42 then jumps to chapter 3 An Era of Spiritual Darkness omitting the rest of chapter 2 I deleted the book then reloaded it to see if the audio just didnt load all the way when I was downloading it the first time but that chapter still doesnt finish reading If I wasnt listening to it I would have never known Now Im wondering if there are any more like that Is there and update that can fix that              First Glitch

One of the main reason why people use this application is for the search function which sadly doesnt work Please please fix this problem Another problem is when you try to download the documents up to 50 the download goes according to the ISP speed for evey file but after that it works so slow it takes forever to download the materials     Almost useless version

A great try Lots of awesome features however due to significantly decreased functionality I cannot justify sticking with this version Pros Sleek text design Great new features Selecting text is much easier Option to customize and manage downloaded books MP3 Audiobooks play within the app when available Text to Speech options convenient Added pioneer writings etc Nightmode Cons No vertical scrolling Not only is this inconvenient but it makes copying text spanning multiple pages impossible No way to sync or xfer notes highlights bookmarks to the new app What am I supposed to do with the last 45 years worth of notes and highlights Copying text doesnt always work Text is sometimes not buffered to memory When selecting text I have to hit more options to see the copy button This is really inefficient I copy text ALL THE TIME Book icons are great but implementation is poor The icons are very large and this makes scrolling through the massive list of book titles to find something specific very time consuming No way to jump right to a month or day in devotionals Again makes finding a specific day more time consuming App crashes frequently No way to change search results to display more or less lines of text        Visually Improved Functionally Inefficient

I wish it wouldnt default to the home screen after I close the app Unless I bookmark what Im reading I will lose my progress if I close the app It wont return to where I was last If listening to audio I have to restart my progress from the beginning           Good but home screens when you close the app

I tried to transfer my markings but it only transferred the bookmarks But none of the highlights were transferred I have almost 400 highlights and it didnt transfer even one of them     Problem

Overall a good experience in using the app The selection of a quote is a hassle and the share option is buggy it doesnt copy the quote into share window leaving you with nothing to share like you have not selected it Downloading of books is cumbersome a lot to download but the iPhone goes off by turning off the app after a few minutes So I had to constantly refresh the download Please fix the bugs The search of a quote or keyword is impossible keeps spinning the wheel for 10 min Still many bugs to squash May the Lord bless you You have done a tremendous job Update I tried to use the Russian language option in devotional and freezes The date dont correspond           Needs improvement very buggy

I like the new layout and features but really want an app for the Mac The old CDROM just isnt the same              Good app need one for OSX

What a treasure trove this app is Thank you for all the hard work to make it more usable and attractive One request I have is to bring back the definition option of words when you touch them Ellen White had a vast vocabulary and often used words with which we are not familiar today Another thing is that some words are not separated                 Great Improvement

I did the latest update on the previous EGW Estate app the Complete Published Writings and after that it crashed every time I tried to open it I was so upset I came to the App Store to try to download it again and found this app Ugh it has a lot of interesting downloads I like the Pioneer library and other additions but I have 2 BIG complaints 1 the search function is now COMPLETELY USELESS I used it all the time in the previous app Now when I try to search for anything it just spins and spins around forever then locks up the app I have to exit the app then get back into it to do anything else 2 the new layout while it looks cool from the main page once you enter a selection like EGW Writings or Adventist Pioneer Library all you see are little boxes with useless abbreviations above them These abbreviations are supposed to help me find a particular bookperiodicaletc Its ridiculous The Complete Published Writings app was MUCH easier to use and I used it all the time I have barely used this app because I cant use the Search and it is not nearly as simple as the other app Wish I had never performed the update and lost my previous app Not happy with this new one Go back to the drawing board and try again        Cumbersome terrible search function

In light of the recent release of unpublished writings a glaring omission is a sort option that actually allows you to sort by release date Also missing is a way to sort only on Letters Current sources only allows sorts on books Also in light of this app being used on my phone my iPad and hopefully soon on my MacBook I want notes bookmarks and highlights to synch across all of my devices When those are added I will gladly rate it with 5 stars until then it is merely OK           Not a significant enough improvement yet

I really like this new app but it has many bugsproblems This app would be awesome without the following 1 Using a lot of space date storage it is using 8Gb 2 Transferring Highlight from old app is not working well The last time did not transfer the folders of highlights from old to new So my 600 highlights were a mess 3 We cannot delete many highlights in the same time I have deleted one by one in the new app while I was waiting for new update 600 highlights 4 The last update today October 2 hindered me from opening the app 5 Now I am waiting for other update with hope because I was highlighting my new studies in this new app The app is not opening     iPad iOS 841
