I bought this app to help me with a school project I have found it completely useless I am not able to get beyond the most basic relationships Editing an existing relationship or individual e g to deceased is clumsy and in some cases just impossible I have had repeatedly referred to the help page and am still frustrated This app is not intuitive at all I have never spent 14 99 on an app and will never do so again I should have saved the money and just drew it by hand which is what I will wind up doing anyhow     Very disappointed Disappointd grad student

Very useful app if you are only going to be doing genograms on your iPad There is no ability that I can find to import genograms into the app Therefore if you use a desktop app I use Genopro there is no way to exchange information between the platforms This is limiting The other less significant issue is that there is a lot of tapping one has to do to add people relationships etc Not a huge deal but I find myself frustrated by the number of steps it takes to get individuals into the diagram and related to others Some defaults would be a nice feature to cut down on this That said if you re only using the iPad for genograms this is a useful app with great features and a relatively intuitive interface             Great App Some limitations and Quirks pastorbradster

I m a solo Pastor in a 100 member congregation I use Family Systems Theory as my primary approach to pastoral counseling This app makes Genograms easy to diagram and share I also love the ability to password protect individual Genograms to protect confidentiality It follows a slightly different symbol convention than I learned hence the missing star but the ability to print email a legend makes that a tiny issue                 Quite good Joseph Taber

This app is fantastic I need to create genograms for my graduate program on what feels like a daily basis With this app all of the genograms I create are beautiful consistent and I do not need to create my own key I never have to worry that my symbols are different sizes or that it is unclear what the relationships are I wish the reports could also be created as a gif or jpeg file but it is not difficult to convert a pdf into one of those formats Seriously one of the most useful apps I own                     Well worth the price Starting out in life

I d rate this a 4 5 if I could As a family systems therapist this program has helped me easily draw genograms to better understand and illustrate family dynamics I see in session It allows for easy modification as well which is helpful for tracking the evolution of family dynamics over time However it would be nice to be able to add text to the genogram to specify dates of marriages separations etc for example to make the information even clearer I wrote the developers about two months ago to ask for this feature and they responded quickly and courteously to say it is coming Looking forward to that Worth the 4 99 price I paid                 Overall very helpful Soleil9599

I have downloaded this app and was so excited to have something to help me with a school assignment After downloading and then naming my first venogram it just locks up and will go no further SO FRUSTRATING         IGenogram doesn t work SandyBurleson

What I like ease of adding basic info and crisp clean output What I wish it had customizable fields to appear on output limitless work area to allow for large families and customizable fields above ability to move entire groups of people at once             Good for basic use but needs tweaking Jonimlo

I ve been working with this app for about an hour for a school project The app does what it says it s going to do and is fairly intuitive to work with However it does not adjust automatically when you add someone So for example when I went to add my father in law s 11 siblings I had to move everyone one at a time which can be done manually but is not quick Imagine if I decide to add their spouses and children Also while you can add various events and notes it does not seem to have a way to display these custom settings on the genogram For example if I want to know the year of my parents wedding I need to click on that bar and then on the note icon and then on the event section Finally the app has no way to add custom symbols such as adoption which instead need to be added in the note event section Bottom line The app does what it says it will do but don t expect much more from it             works but not great g.j.r.w.

This app has great features I am very pleased with it The only problem is that the canvass is WAY too small My wife s family is quite large and we cannot fit them all onto the canvass Basically if you have a tiny family then this app is great but if your family is medium or large sized don t expect to fit them all on the page Note to the developer Please make an option for a much bigger canvass and I will give 5 stars         Great features canvass too small 1WhiteTiger7

I am surprised to find that there are only two available genogram applications for ipad It seems like there is a greater need and that mental health professionals would pay to have more effective applications that would save them time I make a genogram for every client and family I work with This application works but is simplistic and not culturally competent I do not seem to have the option of adding additional information about a family s ethnicity location etc so that it is visible on the genogram I do not seem to have the option of adding code words or themes myself for instance I would like to be able to create a relationship code for supportive I also do not appreciate that it creates the male symbol as a default Also a user should be able to zoom out indefinitely to create a larger family many of the families I work with have 5 kids in each generation so only two or three generations fit using this application and even that is a squeeze The software builder should work with a social worker to create a more effective and inclusive tool             Simplistic JacobaRock
