OnSong

This has been the best app I have purchased for my ipad I am a church worship musician and the ability for sets keeping all the songs in one place downloading songs we use etc has all been fabulous I have also input into the new song section over 60 of my personal songs It is wonderful to have them all in one place I cannot stop saying good things about this app If I was to give any suggestions it would be to have a spell check in the new song section as well as a undo button The possibility to put a visual image to a book and search books by the visual book image might be cool too I would love to have the ability to record a song Im writing in raw form to just remember how it goes Great job though LOVE this app I recommend it to every church musician I really appreciate all that the developer is doing Keep up the great work I am very impressed The depth of the program Im continually learning more about Thanks again                 LOVE IT

I love the new internet feature dont listen to the bad reviews I am a worship leader at a Calvary Chapel and have used this over 3 years it has NEVER NEVER failed me ever Keep up the good work This app has changed the way I lead                 AWESOME

Poor instruction manuals no support and promotional videos that mislead you into believing that you can be up and running in a matter of minutes is a recipe for disaster I wasted an incredible number of hours over three days and couldnt get not even one music file downloaded into the software Buyer beware The people writing these fivestar reviews must be part owners of the company     Feeling used and abused

Ive tried a few other lyricschords programs to use in my few far between gigs mainly at churches and this is the only one that comes even close It does everything I want from importing songs from the net or inputting manually transposing automatically scrolling If I want it it does it I can even scroll manually from my foot pedals or leave the autoscrolling on and switch between songs with the pedals Its so easy to use I cant believe it If youre looking for something for chords lyrics this is the one believe me                 GET it

Love this app in its continuing forms would love to see a feature that keeps track of how often a song is used in a set over several months              On Going Support is awesome

When I bought it it was wonderful It has turned into something that is no longer any use to me I am very disappointed I dont even want that one star rating but this site demands that I rate this app     This app has gotten awful

As a professional musician I laugh every time I see the redundancy of foot pedals It tells me that the creators of something are ever so slightly illiterate Has anyone ever seen a hand pedal nose pedal elbow pedal So take anything this application does with the grain of salt that says these folks dont know their terminology I can print out a lead sheet for practically nothing or write it out myself I expect an app for and supposedly from professional musicians to include music and this does not words and chord symbols are not music and cannot even hint at melody and harmony     Foot Pedals and Glorified Lead Sheet

Recently heard about this and purchased all it has to offer I must say I am impressed Its great to be able to transpose songs on the fly like this and have an entire database of music with my own notation on it right at my fingertips I have this on my iPad and iPhone 6 and I can never go back to paper Its just to stinkin cool Also recently just got the 4 channel foot pedal to roll with it and I am amazed Love it and so no major issues One issue I was having is sometimes the scroll would get stuck and it wouldnt scroll well every once in a while but they said they addressed this in the latest update Either way its a total winner                 iPhone 6 Works Great

This is the most amazing app in the app store This app has simplified my musical life more than anything I have ever discovered Every single musician needs this app I am a professional musician and I use this app every day for practice writing charts and on the gig It saves me so much work it is amazing I have been using it now for gee I guess 4 or 5 years and I truly dont know what I would do without it Thanks OnSong crew Michael Robinson                 Fabulous App

Every time I try adding chords to the lyric they shift all out of place once I click out of the edit section SOOOO ANNOYING costs me hours of time GUESSING where they might Land once Ive finished I like the idea of this app but this NEEDS to be addressed        NEEDS WORK PLEASE FIX

Before purchasing this app I toted around numerous 3ring binders full of chord charts Thats all in the past I use this app daily to practice and when playing in groups The ability to customize everything makes this an absolute delight Several other apps do a good job at one thing eg chord display importing files scrolling interfacing with pedals etc but OnSong does them all and does them better than most if not all Ive been exceedingly pleased with my purchase and expect you will too                 Excellent app

This app is tremendous and I am using it totally now I have over 3000 songs in it and I absolutely love it My band member bought an iPad just for ONSONG Thank you ONSONG team you keep making it BETTER God bless you Keep making it better but seriously it is the best already                 Onsong is the best for me

For an app that is 15 this app is far from being fit for the cost The integrated system for pulling songs from SongSelect work only for a few songs Literally 210 songs were available Other than that it prompts me to authorize my account which I do then fails to download it And now I am trying to transpose within the downloaded songs again only two out of ten tried actually downloaded and it disappears and says theres another bug The manual input of songs is way too difficult and time consuming for a larger library I have contacted support yet they are very VERY unhelpful What would you do if your entire set was prepared on this app and literally minutes before you go up for your set this app bugs out and crashes to render itself useless I had to figure that out yesterday night Id steer clear of this app unless you got that type of money to throw around Great potential massively underwhelming performance from this app     Way too buggy

To sum up the only reason I have an iPad is for this app                 Wow

I have been a faithful OnSong user for a few years now and can say that Jason and the rest of the crew working on this app really care about their product This app with the AirTurn are a great team getting lyrics and chords to the entire group The few times Ive had issues with the app I have had quick responses and the fixes have been as quick as they can make them I also appreciate the forward communication when they do hear about a problem and the work a rounds they give Great job Keep up the great work                 Great songbook app

I dont understand why but when emailing a pdf it displays the wrong key in the top right corner It is correct in onsong but incorrect on the pdf                 Key is wrong when emailing a pdf

I now move my review back to five stars Though with the setback with the updated version onsong has really recovered from what the destructive iOS 8 had done I appreciate all that you do this app is very worth the price                 Great recovery and customer service

This app is great when it works but is otherwise complete garbage Its very slow to load and crashes often Its struggles to communicate with other iPads running the app and just today it deleted ALL of my playlists that a spent hours putting together Im a professional who needs to use charts and this garbage app has failed me one too many times Goodbye OnSong Good luck     Most Glitchy App Ive ever used

Ive been using this personally for a while now Over that period it has evolved into a hugely featured and flexible tool that I believe will revolutionize our workflow It obviously replaces paper charts but when used in conjunction with Ableton Live and MIDI triggers it is enabling us to hop about on the fly from song to song and up and down in songs Currently Im converting all our songs to OnSong and using multiple iPads linked to VGA screens to have electronic music stands for the whole band Over the last couple of releases it has stabilized the new function and what impresses me most is the responsiveness of the support guys With something new there are often glitches but they are on it instantly and usually have a work around until the proper fix is released Kudos to this steam and product                 Awesome app leading edge responsive support

For all it boasts Onsong does not deliver all that it claims The full spectrum of options to edit your music chord highlighting chord color change capo adjustment font sizestyle change etc is only available if you type in the music yourself or convert an imported file with their song editor Converting mean the song will become an omelette you have to unscramble to be able to use A real drag when they have quick upload links to sites like SongSelect right in the app to avoid the extra work When I asked Support what the issue was Im told that certain PDFs dont convert properly Well they should have said NO PDFs convert because every route Ive tried from Word Pages documents from both saved as PDF and SongSelect has failed to convert these uploads convert to dashes and semicolons resulting in a complete rewrite needed to make the music usable When music is uploaded from SongSelect the only enhancement options given is key change Yay Other than that the app is a document viewer Ive paid 15 for a 2 app thats a whole lot of work        Eh

I have tried several used one until their support team bailed I wont mention its name but it has the word tapp in it This has a few issues as ALL of them do it also has a learning curve as all of them do but the difference between this and the others is the Onsong team seem to provide both support and how to videos When they Onsong get the MAC version going it will become the best of the best No I do not work for or affiliated in any manner with this company Just a satisfied customer              One of the best out there

I feel compelled to write my first review Im not a professional musician and I used OnSong to download chords and lyrics to play for myself or with friends Unfortunately they ruined this app by drastically changing the process for downloading songsI shouldnt have to download another app I dont want just to use this one In addition I dont appreciate them changing their focus and coming at me with their Christian agenda now Nothing against them but leave me out of it Lastly there seem to be way too many overly enthusiastic 5star reviews to be believable Buyer beware I bought this app over a year ago and it was great Now I wish I could get a refund     From 5 to 1

This is the best Ive used above all the others Foot pedal color coded font and instant key change along with so many other great features Well worth every penny Support is top notch                 Best app period

Im rereviewing this app and lowering my rating to 1 star Why they wont fix the bugs in this product is beyond me Its incredibly unreliable And its not me my bandmates have the same issues You have to exit the app and restart it when it misbehaves Its almost constant Its a shame because the product has huge potential I just dont know why the developers wont fix the issues shame on them Im leaving my original review intact below I want to like this product so much but its just too unreliable for me to give more than 2 stars The only reason I didnt give it one star is because I do like the user interface design and its a relatively easy app to use But it crashes WAY too often Sometimes the app just exits for no reason and sometimes when I load a song lyrics file it just sits there with a blank window thats a bug they claimed to have fixed but it still happens to me albeit less frequently than before Im using a very small amount of this apps capability very basic stuff and it still crashes intermittently on my iPad I use it ONLY for reading song lyrics from Microsoft Word files thats it and it still crashes Come on guys get your act together Id actually pay a bit more for this app if they would just fix it to work reliably and consistently     Way too buggy and unreliable

As a worship team leader and also as a lead guitarist Ive been trying onsong with the team for a few weeks now This has been an amazing program Were just delving into some of the finer features but so far it has been five stars all the way There are so many features that we havent even tried including the new lighting controls I cant wait to give them a try in the near future We have been using iPads on stage for quite a while but onsong gives me the ability to control the other iPads scroll the music at the correct rate and even adds a metronome to keep us at the proper beat This is all incredible and really helps keep us together as a team I cant wait to explore many of the other features including loops and lights                 Wow

I like the idea of onsong but I usually had problems with either getting a new song in without the chords shifting around or one time the app just quit on my ipad and then in the middle of the performance I had to get back into the app and find the set and song I know this is an ipad issue and not necessarily Onsongs fault but it was a new ipad and its something to look into           Has a lot of great features but I had lots of trouble with it

I am a active musician and loved all that OnSong had to offer for over a year Almost 2 months ago my iPad locked up and had to be factory restored That also meant iOS8 update OnSong has not worked since Every time I open the app it has lost all my music and shows the welcome message I can import my songs back in via Dropbox but cannot adjust key fonts highlights As soon as I switch songs it reverts back I had initial quick response from tech support but once they couldnt resolve first attempt they have been unresponsive to my emails Sad to see a great app go down so quickly     Loved this app for over a year Not so much anymore

Just wanted to say that I love this app When I was deciding on which app to go with I saw several negative comments I went for it anyway and at first I wasnt sure whether I had made a mistake For all the negative reviewers what I found was that I needed to take the time to go through the manual and tutorials Since then I have found the app to be excellent The user interface is great adaptable The console is a must Thank you OnSong                 Take the time to get it right and youll love it

I had high expectations and Im sorry but I have to slam you for a really crappy and disappointing first time experience I cannot get out of the initial help screen to start playing around with the app This is so frustrating and disappointing Im not looking forward to trying the app now What kind of frustration will I now have to put up with     Crappy first I pression

Love ithas worked perfect from day 1 I watched the tutorialsread the help files and have used it at 12 gigs straightgetting files from all my subscribed services easilyparticularly love the add to on song option in safarion my mic stand at every gigcant praise it enough Thank you on songoh yeah I play in a Grateful Dead tribute band and we are packing about 140 songsthis app is perfect for us                 This app is great

This was awesome at first because you could get songs off the net and download them immediately and transpose them Now you have to download a separate app and even then the most available of standards come up with file not found Wasted a lot of my time I dont have time to create every song one at a time from scratch     Worked great at First now you cant get songs on the net

I purchased OnSong last year I needed something to help me keep my worship music organized and I was sick of using and lugging around a binder When I first purchased OnSong I was disappointed that any music I downloaded from CCLI wouldnt transpose within the app so I was very conscious to download the music in the Key I needed it in However the ONSong Crew has fixed this feature and I couldnt be happier I also like the convince of sending songs to the app from the web instead of having to use the app to search With this update I dont have to scroll through a list of songs hoping to pick the one I saw online I can just send what I want to the app its Super Convenient Thanks OnSong                 Awesome App

Ive been using Onsong on my IPad 3 for over two years and it has been very useful and reliable I use it live for lyrics with an Airturn Duo Bluetooth page turnerscroller pedal The app has been super reliable and helps me with not just lyrics but with building set lists Making set lists is a breeze and I love having access to all my old sets for multiple bands Emailing set lists to band members from within the app is a great feature It saves me a lot of time I like having a large library of tabslyrics in one small IPad rather than multiple binders Ive cut back on paper waste and clutter Its great for learning news songs because I can have web access tab and mp3s on the same device The only issues Ive had are usually after a major IOS update there can be unexpected minor bugs but I find that happens with most apps On song developers are always working to keep the app stable and add improvements As I said it is very reliable and very stable Take the plunge and ditch your binders You will be very happy you did                 Great App for live performance

Really indispensable app when you utilize a number of its many features With just this one app an AirTurn PED and an Apple TV I can lead worship with guitar automatically trigger pad loop backing tracks in the key of each song with crossfades have the lead sheet visible for my use while simultaneously projecting lyrics for the congregation complete with motion backgrounds All this done wirelessly and controlled with just the PED Really handy for the one man band                 Mr

The folks at OnSong are the best on the planet I am a pretty early subscriber and have seen the developments over the years Have I had troubles Yes But this support team has never failed to address every issue with the very best attitude and diligence I have ever seen Some might think this is a fairly simple app that should be trouble free and easy to maintain It is not and these people work like crazy to keep it as great as it is Love this group                 The Best

This app is fantasticI use it all the time for worship planning and leading I would encourage anyone to give it a try Also ignore the one star reviewsnot sure what the deal is with those peeps but this app is awesome One thing Ive learned over the past few years of using the app is that Jason and his team are very committed to listening to the users and finding and squashing bugs This can be seen in the huge list of enhancements fixes and new features that now seem to come monthly Of course there are some things Id love to have one of which would be automatic syncing of my song library between my devices not the onsong media library there is always something to wish for nowadays with apps That said over the past few years of using this app it has completely changed the way I interact with my music and my teams Great job Onsong team                 Fantastic App

I had lost my air turn peddle or someone stole it I waited 3 months to see if it would turn up and no such luck I ordered a new one but they said it takes 4 to 6 weeks Anyway I had a wedding to play at and asked onsong if they could send the new one 2day They did at no extra charge I got it today and will have it for this Sundays wedding Thank you onsong for going the extra mile I am a onsong fan Could go on about how good this product is but Ill spare you                 Onsong support

I love this app I use it at every gig Mostly singer songwriter type stuff in restaurants and clubs Works perfectly every time I put songs into sets and just follow along The import from the internet is only as good as the library But I have used it live when someone requests something I can go get it and use it I also love the email set lists which I use when I play with a small trio so they can get prepared ahead of time I also use the midi connection with my tc helicon voice live 3 to auto change settings when I page to the next song Cant say enough good things about this Have not tried to send song data to another Ipad so dont know how that works The backup feature works well with my drop box account                 Working Musician

This was great before they removed the online search feature now its just junk and the newest version basically just contains a bunch of FAQ filler BS and videos It really pisses me off that a once great application for musicians has become useless I didnt pay for useless maybe on song devs could have used our money to pay for royalties through BMI so that the app still fkn worked Uninstalled     Its over

I like this app but many songs I need to add some notes or change chords in the music and you have to buy each drawing for 299 and this is ridiculous Whats the use of having digital music if you cant make revisions based on style etc Until this changes that you can make written changes without having to pay a fee for an app youve already spent 15 on this app earns two stars Sticky notes arent the solutionadd some flexibility        Must be more flexible without extra charge

Not having to carry lyrics sheets is great but having the lyrics with the chords located at the right place is even greater I truly appreciate and recommend this program and by the way it continues to be improved I just received the Duo AirTurn BT106 and now I can turn the pages with my foot My thanks go ito the team supporting it                 This is a great program
