Yeah this one is a winner It gives you a nice detailed line drawing with all the peaks named Very stylishly done and it looks like what you are looking at You dont need the augmented reality crap This is the one              Great

This recent iteration of PeakFinder has it all Locations the world over for use on site or for planning With an astronomy program use it to plan a location for a sunmoon riseset photo getting the location right the first time Great tool and travel companion Bravo                 Stunning

I have really enjoyed this app It does what it is supposed to very well with little fuss The negative reviews seem to be be complaining due to technical issues with download which can be big or expectations for a camera match This does not include the camera but I have found it accurate and easy to use The database downloads when you visit a new area can take a while but no problems once you do that                 Works really well

This is NOT what I expected one would expect to aim your cameraphone at the mountains have it align with the database and then tell me the name of the mountain NOT It came to the US with a database of the Alps what good does that do Then when I added the location services it wouldnt load I am very disappointed Actually Id like my money back     I dont get it

Absolutely love this app A must to own if you like mountains Download the coverage maps for the area you are interested in before you leave home its a onetime thing                 So helpful Amazing accuracy

Used the earlier Apps that were separate much nicer to have all in one Location finder quick and accurate I tend to use the compass view to ensure Im turned the right way the reading of direction is often off                 Great travel App for People visiting mountains

I live on a mountain and have always been curios as to how tall it is I found out that it is 967 feet tall and is called Griffin mountain It is in Virginia Also I recommend Mount Rushmore and Everest                 Awesome

Wonderful app Tested it out twice this week in Cherokee Nantahala and Pisgah National Forests The first time I did the quick hike up to the Devils Courthouse off of the Blue Ridge Parkway I was fascinated by the little bronze peak finding tool the NPS had installed at the top This is that same tool but in my pocket at the top of any ridge peak or overlook I decide to stop at                 Simple like the old methods

Ive used peak finder apps before and this is the best of them all I mean WAY better This blows the others away Most peak finder apps use augmented reality to superimpose peak names over your live camera image but the peak names rarely match up with the image This app does something unique by actually rendering the surrounding landscape and displaying the peak names over that image instead It does an amazing job rendering the landscape It is incredible The accuracy of the render is very impressive I also love how easy it is to change the viewpoint I may use the GPS to set my current location and then decide that I want to see what the view is from a neighboring peak and it is as easy as two taps on the screen one tap to open the binoculars and another tap to change the viewpoint I hike a few hundred miles a year and I highly recommend this app                 I LOVE THIS APP

I used it in Colorado and Wyoming which made all the difference as I stood transfixed in front of some of those magnificent peaks The operation was easy the app seamless Looking forward to using it in the Appalachian mountain area too                 Great App

This is the worst app that I ever purchased It does not work I live in the mountains in Colorado and the maps are extremely inaccurate and it does not even name every mountain nearby Also whenever I hike and I click the reload button the application pulls up my original map from my house which is miles andor hours andor in a completely different national forest from when I originally downloaded the application Dont waste your money     Dont waste your money

I dreamed of such a resource long before smartphones This is intuitive comprehensive and works without internet after downloading the data for a particular region I love it thank you                 Incredible Relive hiking trips dream of the next ones

happens to be in New Zealand be better in next update or Ill never visit in Switzerland you ignoramus Otherwise its a good idea for an app which every mountaineer should have Thanks for the Christmas rebate                 And where is Mount Cook

It won even download the data base This is a waste of money i want mine back Robbery to charge for this addendum 1614 it finally downloaded not sure if its better than the free version but it works     Terrible
