This was an outstanding app that scanned all of my receipts for years and I was such a happy customer Then last month the developers chose to remove the ability to save PDF receipts to Dropbox which was the whole reason I bought the app in the first place What a poor decision now I have to delete the app and lose all of my expense history     Dev destroyed a wonderful app imabigfailure

This was my go to receipt scanner until the end of September when the Dropbox connection was broken The latest update the peers to try and correct that but it is not nearly as functional as used to be Files no longer carry the name of the merchant that is entered in the app over to dropbox It is also now I m multi step process to say the files to dropbox File size also appears to be less efficient than it used to be files are much larger I attempted to reach their support Desk but that to peers to be a complicated process that I doubt I will take the time to try to navigate Will try again from time to time in the future to see if future updates return this app to its former glory Until then I will likely not be using it on a regular basis     Used to be great JMH 65

Update 2017 10 03 I m back again to thank the developers for posting another update for iOS 11 reassuring its functionality for this version Piikki is still my favorite receipt scanner and overall printed receipt expense report tool The custom categories gives an immediate outlook of each expense category by any range of dates selected from weekly to monthly annually or even across all dates mine shows 4 years back I also use the tags to tag the account credit card used to easily find the related one used update 2016 09 27 I m back to update my review 2 years after my last review to thank the developers for keeping it alive I see here some frustrated reviews for lack of support and features which I can understand But for me as a veteran user of Piikki for many years and even at some point looked for an alternative because Piikki development was stopped but thankfully revived I have yet to find a better replacement and the app still serves me well and NO I am not related or paid to write this review this is my honest opinion and I did try plenty alternatives If you really care why I will gladly explain it scans the receipt and has options to crop and fine tune sharpness it has custom options to setup the file size and file type jpg or PDF it allows adjusting the file s date very convenient if you have to search for a receipt amongst hundreds it has multiple file naming template options so you don t have to retype a filename everytime you scan a receipt a huge time saver for organised people who uses specific filenames for receipts it has custom categories another huge time saver if you like to sort your receipts by category which later can be used in graph reports And what if you need to separate receipts by business and personal or separate by credit card debit cash etc Pikkii got you covered with custom tags Still not convinced You got full control of which metadata is attached to the receipt including personal notes Concerned about privacy Use a pass code Need reports It has granular ones Custom backup You got it 1 2 weeks or 1 6 months with options to restore delete and backup now including cloud services Evernote Dropbox Google and backup to any email address with granular customized options only while the app is open Navigate through your receipts by New expensed and archived receipts with sorting options by time category A to Z or location based And most sorting and tagging options can be used to show on the graphical reports to almost any option you can think of Do you know any other app that can do all of the above I have not tested all apps in the app store but I own some of the top rated ones and tried plenty some of them do better than Piikki in one way or another but non cover all of the above features Thanks again to the developers for keeping Piikki alive I was just mourning it in a review a day before the upgrade on another app s review page saying I couldn t find a match yet and it s back To the developers I know it s not your interest but if for some reason you decide not to continue the development of Piikki based on the months taken to see an update since the last one please consider us your loyal users and help us retrieve and have access to our database even though it s not your responsibility it will be very thoughful at least a heads up warning recently I upgraded my phone that came with the new iOS 8 and found myself locked out of it since it crashed every time I tried opening it                     Thank you developers for bringing Piikki back to life Just_Me_Too56657

I would like to rate this app higher because I think it is useful and has potential to be very good however the developer has been unresponsive to my requests for assistance even though I spent over 8 on the business pack in app purchase The OCR element of the program seems nonfunctional I used Neat Receipts extensively and I know it can work but here I have to go back and continually check and correct the errors and since entries are categorized several ways but not by date time of entry I have to go looking for each item It is definitely not a productivity improvement and not ready to be sold as an in app purchase Another issue that I have that started with the download of the business pack purchase is that the app will not retain the category information from one receipt scan to the next It used to work fine but now it seems to return to transportation a category I have not used at all Lastly I use the app for personal expenses and without the business pack purchase I could not enter in returns That feature seems like it should be included in the basic app I will definitely improve my rating and revise my review if the developer makes improvements or even responds Since a ticket number is issued upon contacting the developer it is particularly frustrating that no actual response is forthcoming             Unresponsive Developer kkarin

Don t know if there s an app that does what I want but this for sure isn t it Poor quality scan especially as the receipt gets longer I was hoping it would do some of the data entry for me but it uses the scan date and time and requires manually inputting amount and everything else     Not what I was looking for Marciafied

I only bought the app because it was written in the news of the last update that OCR Optical Character Reader had been fixed I assumed there actually was a OCR system Turns out there is none It is just a scanner Waste of money and time Any other free app is better     No OCR EugĂŠniee

This is a pretty great app unfortunately the ability to enter in a custom time period for sorting does not work This one feature completely breaks the functionality for me I need to be able to make a report of only receipts from the year 2015 etc Devs are aware of the issue since they acknowledged it when I emailed them for help 5 months later the app still has not been updated to fix this issue Otherwise a great resource and 5 star app but this issue needs to be fixed     App has a critical bug BabylonFilm

This works well for saving basic receipts Love the ability to Auto Upload to Dropbox The iCloud syncing however is broken I can see the saved files in my iCloud account but they never show up on the other device no matter what I do Really wish the device sync worked properly would make this a 5 star app No way to contact support to let them know so hopefully they ll see this review and correct it             Works Well iCloud Data Sync BROKEN BP407

With the new version of this app that finally came out three weeks after iOs8 was introduced all of my receipt data disappeared for the first 9 months of the year I have the backups in Dropbox but I am unable to access any of that to have Piikki present me with year to date totals and the categories I placed them in I have contacted customer service for this app with no resolution The means that I have to reenter all my data from 100s of scans for most of the year when it comes to tax time So the main thing I needed from this app and the reason I purchased it to begin with does not work Terrible and incredibly annoying Don t waste your money     All my data is still missing slynchify

I didn t read the App Store reviews since I had already heard a lot about this app from other websites praising it for it s capabilities Unfortunately the app does not run for more than about 1 second on iOS 8 Considering the iOS 8 beta has been out for around 4 months you would think that the application would be either updated or pulled from the store since I just wasted several dollars The website is offline and only has a small piece of text saying under maintenance in the upper left corner READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING This app is inoperable the website is down and there is no information from the developer as to when this application will be working again Don t buy this app and do not support awful business practices such as these     Should Have Read Reviews Dcastonguay

I used to work with docscanner because that app had a great batch scanning process But that app went to crap because they kept changing the way it worked So I thought maybe this app was going to be similar given that it s feature set is really a carbon copy of docscanner Even some of the dialogs were the same even to the point where they forgot to skin them to blend in with piikki so they looked exactly like the ones in docscanner In one word piikki is useless to you if you scan more than one thing every few days If you re serious about scanning receipts the multiple step process will have you wasting so much time you re better off using a flatbead scanner On top of this it is not compatible with iOS 8 That goes to show how much time the developer puts into the product and its viability iOS developers have access to beta versions of upcoming releases for free from the beginning It s been more than 4 months since the developer could have updated the code Take it from me spend your money elsewhere     Always regretted purchasing this zBen
