This app has been bad for a long time With the most recent update it s now even worse They ve given us access to the Washington Post app which seems to be a tease The WP app is an example of what a daily newspaper app SHOULD be Post Standard find out who wrote that app and contract with them         It s even worse El Funko930

I have the app installed on an iPad Mini with 32 GB of storage The app generally works well and is easy to use but there are several bugs that have not been addressed and when you go to Report a Problem it takes you to a dead link on the Syracue Meda Group site with no obvious choice on their home page to report problems The bugs in order of seriousness 1 I went to update the OS on my iPad and was unable to do so because the iPad was out of memory On the iPad I went to Settings General Storage and iCloud Usage Manage Storage to view what was taking up all of the space The Post Standard app was consuming 8 GB of space I have the app set to store 3 editions the minimum allowed I wish it would let you set it to 1 or 2 editions At the bottom of the Editions windowin the Post Standard app is a Clear Storage button Clicking on that button but saying no to clear personal settings brought the app s memory usage down to 69 MB of storage used much more reasonable There obviously is a bug in the app that does not release memory that should be released users should not have to manually clear the storage and the app should respect the number of editions selected 2 The app periodically exits back to the home screen on the iPad If you double click the home button the app is still open and still on the page you were reading and selecting it brings you back to that page but for some reason it randomly kicks you back to the home page 3 When you switch screen orientation portrait to landscape or vice versa the screen formatting gets messed up and the control buttons on the right side of the screen disappear You can fix this by selecting an article in the left pane but that is not obvious when it happen and again the app should be able to handle an orientation change gracefully             Generally good but with bugs Syr53

The design and functionality are impressive when it works which is rarely Pages that stay blurred when zoomed inexplicable reload retry errors and spontaneous crashes make this a hard app to stay with Big difference between principle and practice Just make the interface work and you ve got 5 stars from me     I really wanted to like this app Taterguy

I like that you can download the paper then read it offline However the images cartoons are too low resolution to read on my ipad The interface is not great Why does it have to look like the print version It takes up half the screen and is illegible         Offline images too low res alpha-betty

The update made a great functional product into something difficult to use and unappealing In landscape mode I can either have two tiny pages next to each other or one large page that I have to keep moving the screen around In portrait mode it is the same thing What was wrong with the way it was before I only had to scroll up or down and the font was perfectly fine to read I knew when I saw the update come over it was going to be a disappointment     Do not like the update Mojo1031

I don t understand why they can t develop something with newsstand on iOS 6 and 7 like the New York Times has you can read the news paper on newsstand it downloads automatically then you read it with a simple interface that everyone understands with no button that are very difficult and clunky to use         Not great try newsstand Wir3l3ss Brain

I had just about given up on reading the Post Standard on my iPad through Safari This ap fixes most of my problems with that interface I can navigate the paper quickly read headlines and enough text to determine if I should read further The comics are now quickly read I still have problems with the way PS has implemented their new format It s hard to keep continuity and multiple comic pages on some days increase the time required to read the paper                 Post standard SupercloudC70
