I really dislike that the ability to email an article disappeared I used that option a lot with what I do VP of Communications for DANA Now my job of monitoring news from this paper is actually harder Where I used to be able to read on the go I now find myself using the app less and looking online when I can find the time I do like that you can interact better with pictures and captions Making my job harder

Just downloaded this app because the NewsJournal website doesnt work very well on an iPad There is too much bloat on the website that chokes the download to a tablet Obviously this is intentional to make you download the app The trouble is that the app requires a signon that then requires a subscription Talk about a deceptive business practice There are lots of news vehicles that offer service without a subscription USA Today is a good example More close to home the Newark Post and the Community News also operate without a subscription I refuse to pay for a newspaper that only reports traffic accidents and fires Goodbye NewsJournal Will not work without logging in

News Journal believes that the population base of New Castle County Delaware are fools Develops version 1 of app and it allows full access to news stories Updated version arrives and all content is behind a 1500 per month pay wall This is the same amount as the print version I did not realize that bits are as expensive as paper The Gannet company needs to get rid of its antiquated business model and join the 21st century In short DO NOT BUY Obviously Mike in Newark works for the News Journal Bait and switch

I like that theirs a lot of local stories although the price that is required to read digital news on my phone is to much It cant cost that much to allow digital access to people I feel TNJ is loosing subcriptions due to the cost and could earn more money with a lower cost and more subscriptions Just ok
