I am a professional consultant an have used many different apps to track and submit my time over the years This one does a wonderful job of helping me address the place where I was loosing time which is when I happen to be working out of my office and switching back and forth between many billable tasks It can be very difficult to keep track of the time spent on each This app makes it so easy to do so being able to have multiple entries for clients projects and even different departments all showing at one time on the screen then just tap on one timer to stop it and then tap on the other to start that one That is what has increased my billing by 24 6 I have the QuickBooks reports to prove it                     With this app I ve increased billable time by 24 6 Really RickL1961

I would have given this 5 stars if it synced via iCloud and or dropbox I have updated my review to drop it down to 2 stars The product is a good app However it still requires you to pay them 6 to get a sync module that only allows you to sync over wifi or Bluetooth 6 for a sync method that is outdated by years I would pay for a modern sync method that keeps all devices up to date seemlessly like iCloud and or Dropbox but not for antique technology         Excellent software DAHM

I am extremely happy with this application It took me about 35 minutes to get the hang of things and it has made my life much simpler ever since I do not use it to send invoices I use it to track my time and then easily transmit that time to my assistant who enters it into my company s billing program It is very simple to use it to keep track of what you are doing and to incorporate exclamation of the jobs being performed while you go They also give you a lot of options to tailor it to your needs for this I did need to take time and go through the manual but once you have it set up you re good to go One example of an item that can be personalized is how you tell us whether you want to know the actual time you start and and a project or if you just want total hours and minutes It also asks whether you track time in terms of tenths of an hour 30 minute segments ETC and then how you round up or down if you finish a project in the middle An aspect I do not like and that I was told would not be corrected is that you cannot start tracking time until you after you select a client or project name In other words if you were asked to sit in on a call or other activity that you will be billing for but do not know who the client is you have to make some sort of name up before you can start the timer I would ve preferred to have been able to start the timer and then gone back at another time to insert the client name especially since creating a client name requires several clicks A work around is to create a client name with something like miscellaneous or AAA and use that when you need to Still it does require three click to get a timer going initially Once you start a timer for a pic of your day though it only takes one click to toggle it off and then one click to toggle it back on I just have an issue with the initial timer per job and that is why I rank this as 4 star and not 5 star The program has never crashed on me I use it with my iPad with retina display I ve used it a little with my iPhone 5s but not much When thinking about buying this program I compared it to hours tracker and while that program has a free version this program seemed to have more benefits and was worth the price especially since I heard that the free version of hours tracker will start limiting people to three total entries sometime in 2015 Following are where I thought time master out did hours tracker but keep in mind that this list is comparing time master to the free version of hours tracker free dropbox coordination it seems that hours tracker requires an additional purchase to back up data to dropbox Keep in mind that while tim master does not require this in order to back up your data and that if you have 2 devices you can then download that data to your other device at no charge it is not a real time update among devices One of their paid upgrades might be needed for that I m not sure Ask with multiple timers hours tracker seems to require you to choose whether to allow multiple timers or not while time master allows you to choose to allow it not allow it or have the program ask you each time you start a new timer without stopping a prior timer making time master more flexible global rounding Both programs allow you to define when you round up or around down your time for billing purposes but hours tracker seems to require you to set this individually for each client while time master allows you to set it once for all your clients and then you d only need to change it at the individual client level if that individual client required something different Copy descriptions from prior client entry When you start a new timer for a pre existing client time master allows you to copy the prior entry into the current entry with the click of a button Hours tracker does not Simple emailing of data both programs allow you to take your time entry data and easily email it to someone else with all the information within an email or as an attachment For my purposes I send the information within an email and my secretary commented that it was easier for her to copy and paste from the emails generated three time master then through hours tracker I think it was mainly an issue of time master including all the information in a table that made it easier for her to copy and paste than hours tracker which lays it out as more ordinary text Web support forum The hours tracker person was responsive when I emailed him but so was the time master contact What puts time master in the win column here is that time master has a special support forum where you can login to ask questions and read questions other people had Manual Time master has a very helpful manual to explain what you can do and how to do it I suspect that hours tracker can do a lot but I suspect I would not be able to figure out most of it because there is no manual This is absolutely the right program for me as it has made timekeeping much simpler I recommend that I m an independent information technology consultant I ve used a PC based time and billing application for over a decade now Even though it worked very well I always had to be near my laptop to keep accurate records so some time just never got logged I also had to keep paper records of mileage which was always a hassle Since I switched to Time Master about 6 weeks ago I keep much more accurate and detailed records I especially love the way it handles expenses and mileage entries I also purchased the optional Invoice module Together they are a very powerful combo Now I have everything I need to track time expenses and mileage right in my pocket And the fact that I can also view reports to see where I stand billing wise at any moment and then invoice without ever having to open my laptop is just wonderful I also downloaded and installed the free Time Master Central application on my Windows based laptop Once a day or after any significant data entry in Time Master on the iPhone I just use Time Master Central to backup the data to my laptop It only takes seconds to do so I originally installed Time Master 3 3 on my iPhone 4 with IOS 4 01 Within about a week I purchased the Invoice module through the in app purchase Both installs were flawless I updated the iPhone to IOS 4 02 and then again to IOS 4 1 and experienced absolutely no issues Everything worked flawlessly again Bottom line If you are a consultant that bills for your time and expenses this is a must have application If the optional Invoice module is not advanced enough for your billing needs you can always export your data with the optional QuickBooks Export module or use Time Master Central to manually export data for import into an accounting or billing system Probably the best 20 I ve spent in quite some time Highly recommended Update 12 23 2010 Up to TimeMaster v3 6 on iOS v4 2 and still loving it Really liked the payment addition to the invoice module in 3 5 Update 9 30 2014 Up to TimeMaster v6 0 on iOS 8 0 2 on an iPad Air and iOS 7 1 2 on an iPhone 5 Using the Billing and Synchronization modules Still love it and couldn t live without it Can t believe it s been almost four years of constant use Highly recommended With the newer versions you no longer need Time Master Central on a PC to backup the iPhone or iPad TimeMaster data It s done via DropBox now and is lightning fast with the latest release of both TimeMaster and DropBox And now backups can be performed on the fly no matter where you are                     EXCELLENT Time Expense Billing Application RFSTech

I have been using TimeMaster Billing for about 3 years I am an hourly paid consultant and this app is very easy to use I am not the kind of person who likes to write detailed reports in fact I hate having to write any kind of report Yet I have had numerous comments from clients that my billing is the most detailed that they have seen This app makes it just that easy The app is very stable which is a requirement when it comes to keeping track of money I used to have issues when syncing with Time Master Central but have not had an issue ever since backups were switched to Dropbox I use the Invoice module which is extra but totally worth it The fields exported for reports are customizable which makes it so that you should be able to configure it for your needs This app has paid for itself many times over                     Great App mick80234

As an independent contractor it is necessary for me to be able to track my time on each job and invoice the client accordingly The timer function is flawless and the entry detail doesnt leave you wanting for more Since I use QuickBooks Premier Accountant for all of my billingbookkeeping I did install the additional QuickBooks module offered by Time Master It works great No issues with time import or invoice generation Drawbacks 1 The app does not sync between devices ie Cloudyou have to push the data from one device to another 2 The program is not as self explanatory re setup as I would have preferred Initially I found it difficult to intuitively maneuver through the program HOWEVER the customer service is AWESOME I had some initial questions to get me started and called the tech support number on 3 occasionsimagine my surprise when a human answered No hold time He was extremely helpful and patient On 1 of the occasions I had to leave a message but had a call back within 5 minutes                 Possibly the Best Time Tracking Software Out There

This app is great once you learn your way around it I use it every day not for invoicing but to keep track of all my time and pay from work It lets you do as many intries as u need on the same date up to mid night of course Calculates overtime as well and its right on and it does perdium mileage are we u would need to get reimburste with The only down fall i see is i wish you could change it from regular time to MARINE TIME but other than that great app                 Flat great buy it

This app is the ultimate time tracker and invoicing program for consultants or anyone who tracks and bills for time I used to use 3 apps and Excel to do all the things this app covers Works great Support is off the charts responsive It has a ton of features that I wouldnt have expected If you bill for time get it I have the invoicing and sync add ons More than worth it                 Ive been dreaming of this app

I have been using TimeMaster Billing for about 3 years I am an hourly paid consultant and this app is very easy to use I am not the kind of person who likes to write detailed reports in fact I hate having to write any kind of report Yet I have had numerous comments from clients that my billing is the most detailed that they have seen This app makes it just that easy The app is very stable which is a requirement when it comes to keeping track of money I used to have issues when syncing with Time Master Central but have not had an issue ever since backups were switched to Dropbox I use the Invoice module which is extra but totally worth it The fields exported for reports are customizable which makes it so that you should be able to configure it for your needs This app has paid for itself many times over                 Great App

I dont understand the positive reviews Ive used a lot of time tracking systems in my lifetime so I know it can be done better This app requires way too many clicks and selections to complete all common activities and the billing module an extra cost option is an absolute joke The billing module has zero customization prints out each time entry separately with no option to collapse or summarize within jobs or categories so you get ugly multipage invoices and has weak or no features for tracking payment progress Im also getting invoices with zero totals because it forgets the billing rate I have to redo all invoices manually using a different program        Clunky obtuse frustrating

Love this app Im a service provider who also sells software and it works perfect for tracking time and info about customers The invoicing module is a must so just buy it now The only request i have for developers is do an inventory module that integrates like your invoices I could take a pic of my part give it a part number and how many i have then when im invoicing i can grab that part from inventory and my stock is always updated                 Love it but please add
I cant believe I never reviewed this app Ive been using this for several years now Once set up its so easy to use Timer can be restarted if you take a break that isnt billable I bill in 15 minute increments and the app handles it nicely Support is fast and friendly              Nice App

Ive been using Time Master and the Billing addon for 6 months now It took some learning during which I wondered if it could really become worth while Im ready to declare Yes Im sure Im capturing time that would have gone un billed And I love seeing at a glance how much Ive invoiced how much is still receivable and how much is uninvoiced All with a couple of clicks              Works for me
Time Master Billing has more than paid for itself 10000 times over The only thing missing is the ability to enter time on your computer rather than your iPhone Thats said I couldnt live without this app              TIme Master is pretty goodone thing missing
As an partner of a small law firm this is the most important app I own I have been using this program for nearly 3 years and it has always worked flawlessly I can bill on my iPad or my iPhone and then sync them together wirelessly and I back everything up on my Mac I need to work with my timekeeping before invoicing so I export to Excel and then invoice from my computer but Im sure their invoicing module works great as does their iPad sync module I have even contacted customer support and been able to speak to a real person that immediately helped me solve my problem which was caused by me not following directions as per usual I highly recommend this app for any small business owner that needs to keep track of hisher time                 Essential timekeepingbilling app for smallmedium bus

I have been using this program for about 34 yearsand I love it I am owner of a small personal assisting services business and it suits all of my needs It is easy to use And there is a FANTASTIC tech support if needed Someone actually picks up the phone when you call and spends time answering questions and in laymans terms if needed You can log hours and expenses for clients and for accounting purposes make your company a client and it will keep track of your expenses too Soo much easier than a Quickbooks yet also has a module to work with Quickbooks I would suggest definitely buying the synchronization module and the invoicing module I love this app It is the foundation of the admin part of my business and the best part is it is all done on the run from any device and with the additional moduleeverything is in sync                 Fantastic for all Entrepreneurs
Ive been using Time Master since its first release on iPhone Like many independent consultants I started with complicated and unwieldy spreadsheets when a fellow consultant recommended this app to me Ive never looked back Its not hard to setup but it does everything I need for a oneman shop The invoicing module is also a MUST HAVE Backup to Dropbox is an alternative to syncing multiple devices with added benefit of actual backups                 Consultants MUST HAVE

I am extremely happy with this application It took me about 35 minutes to get the hang of things and it has made my life much simpler ever since I do not use it to send invoices I use it to track my time and then easily transmit that time to my assistant who enters it into my companys billing program It is very simple to use it to keep track of what you are doing and to incorporate exclamation of the jobs being performed while you go They also give you a lot of options to tailor it to your needs for this I did need to take time and go through the manual but once you have it set up youre good to go One example of an item that can be personalized is how you tell us whether you want to know the actual time you start and and a project or if you just want total hours and minutes It also asks whether you track time in terms of tenths of an hour 30 minute segments ETC and then how you round up or down if you finish a project in the middle An aspect I do not like and that I was told would not be corrected is that you cannot start tracking time until you after you select a client or project name In other words if you were asked to sit in on a call or other activity that you will be billing for but do not know who the client is you have to make some sort of name up before you can start the timer I wouldve preferred to have been able to start the timer and then gone back at another time to insert the client name especially since creating a client name requires several clicks A work around is to create a client name with something like miscellaneous or AAA and use that when you need to Still it does require three click to get a timer going initially Once you start a timer for a pic of your day though it only takes one click to toggle it off and then one click to toggle it back on I just have an issue with the initial timer per job and that is why I rank this as 4star and not 5star The program has never crashed on me I use it with my iPad with retina display Ive used it a little with my iPhone 5s but not much When thinking about buying this program I compared it to hours tracker and while that program has a free version this program seemed to have more benefits and was worth the price especially since I heard that the free version of hours tracker will start limiting people to three total entries sometime in 2015 Following are where I thought time master outdid hours tracker but keep in mind that this list is comparing time master to the free version of hours tracker free dropbox coordination it seems that hours tracker requires an additional purchase to back up data to dropbox Keep in mind that while tim master does not require this in order to back up your data and that if you have 2 devices you can then download that data to your other device at no charge it is not a realtime update among devices One of their paid upgrades might be needed for that Im not sure Ask with multiple timers hours tracker seems to require you to choose whether to allow multiple timers or not while time master allows you to choose to allow it not allow it or have the program ask you each time you start a new timer without stopping a prior timer making time master more flexible global rounding Both programs allow you to define when you round up or around down your time for billing purposes but hours tracker seems to require you to set this individually for each client while time master allows you to set it once for all your clients and then youd only need to change it at the individual client level if that individual client required something different Copy descriptions from prior client entry When you start a new timer for a preexisting client time master allows you to copy the prior entry into the current entry with the click of a button Hours tracker does not Simple emailing of data both programs allow you to take your time entry data and easily email it to someone else with all the information within an email or as an attachment For my purposes I send the information within an email and my secretary commented that it was easier for her to copy and paste from the emails generated threetime master then through hours tracker I think it was mainly an issue of time master including all the information in a table that made it easier for her to copy and paste than hours tracker which lays it out as more ordinary text Web support forum The hours tracker person was responsive when I emailed him but so was the time master contact What puts time master in the win column here is that time master has a special support forum where you can login to ask questions and read questions other people had Manual Time master has a very helpful manual to explain what you can do and how to do it I suspect that hours tracker can do a lot but I suspect I would not be able to figure out most of it because there is no manual This is absolutely the right program for me as it has made timekeeping much simpler I recommend that anyone hesitating to purchase this app go to the website and review the manual to see all the things it can do              Very Good Timekeeping App
Very good for consultants and I have used for many years since January 2010 Being able to update as work is being completed on the iPhone and iPad is really helpful when on the go Like the new clean iOS 7 look of the forms I would like to see an updating the icon to a iOS 78 style icon that is clean and more simple to keep up appearances makes the app seem more relevant and active with development It needs to support other cloud storage options beyond Dropbox especially Google Drive iCloud and OneDrive              Solid Time and Project keeping software
This is an excellent app for keeping track of time and then billinginvoicing for that time I use this app every day and am involved in the construction industry I purchased all additional modules but only regularly use the invoicing module Dropbox backup is convenient too                 Excellent App
